The fine folks at Vinteloper Wines are our first Works Partner for 2021.  We will be clearing some pest plants and then planting to build on the remnant native vegetation.

Despite being wiped out by the 2019 Cudlee Creek fire, David Bowley and team are committed to rebuild their vineyard as well as the biodiversity of their patch.

So commendable!

The area east of Mt Barker is rich agricultural land with only small pockets of remnant vegetation.  Landholders are now banding together to reconnect some biodiverse hotspots, re-vegetate the waterways, and invigorate primary production.

Willawilla

Willawilla is the Kaurna name for Brownhill Creek whose upper reaches start in the gullies of the Adelaide Hills.  Local residents have watched these gullies become overgrown with feral weeds and are now taking those gullies back!  We aim to reclaim the space for native flora and fauna, as well as reduce the fire risk presented by walls of blackberries, Erica and gorse.
